Born in Baltimore MD, the son of a musically inclined Air Force Officer & Surgeon, Jon lived in various places in the US while growing up. “While we were stationed in the Deep South, I really think I was influenced by traditional Soul and Blues. My Father would take me to all these symphonies and music events. My first Mardi Gras in New Orleans was a musical awakening / I played and studied music since my parents introduced me to piano lessons at age 6. I then picked up bass and trumpet till I was 14 then focused on guitar. Eventually we moved back to the West coast, lots of garage bands and finally signed to a major label (Columbia) in 1989 with my band Love/Hate”. 7 world tours with acts like AC/DC, Ozzy, Dio, Skid Row, Pantera, etc. and many headlining tours in the UK and Europe where the band was highly successful. In addition, Jon’s worked with numerous world-wide feature film score productions with artists such as Thomas Dolby, Tom Jones, John Goodman, MGM, New Line Cinema, DreamWorks, Atlantic, Sony, etc. Currently producing and engineering talent in the S Calif area.
